Creating a collaborative workplace designed around people, purpose and wellbeing.
Edwards advised the National Fostering Agency on the acquisition, design and delivery of its new 7,136 sq ft office at Knollys House, Croydon.
Working from an empty shell, Edwards acted as both Project Manager and Contract Administrator, transforming the space into a welcoming, modern workplace that supports collaboration while reflecting the organisation’s commitment to foster carers, children and families across South London.
The completed office provides a welcoming reception, open plan workspace, kitchen and breakout facilities, boardroom and smaller meeting rooms, creating an environment where colleagues can reconnect following extended home working after the pandemic.
Our work.
Edwards supported the project from inception through to completion, advising on the acquisition of the premises before acting as Project Manager and Contract Administrator throughout the office fit-out.
Working closely with the National Fostering Agency, the team developed a workplace tailored to the organisation’s operational requirements, ensuring every element of the design promoted collaboration, wellbeing and flexibility. The interior palette and finishes were carefully selected to complement the client’s brand identity, creating a calm, welcoming environment for both employees and visitors.
The Results.
Delivered on behalf of the client from concept through to completion, the project demonstrates Edwards’ ability to combine property expertise with design, project management and delivery to create workplaces that truly work for the people who use them.
Project overview.
Transforming an empty office suite into a bespoke workplace that encourages collaboration, reflects the client’s values and supports the delivery of vital community services.
The challenge.
Following a prolonged period of home working after the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Fostering Agency required a workspace that would encourage colleagues to reconnect, collaborate and continue delivering exceptional support to foster carers and vulnerable children, whilst providing flexibility for the future.
What we delivered.
Edwards managed the project from acquisition through to completion, overseeing the design, procurement and delivery of the fit-out as Project Manager and Contract Administrator.
The team transformed an empty shell into a fully bespoke workplace, designing a flexible layout incorporating collaborative open plan areas, meeting rooms, breakout facilities and client-facing spaces. The interior design drew inspiration from the National Fostering Agency’s branding, using soft colours and finishes to create a calming, inclusive environment that supports both employee wellbeing and visitor experience.
The Result.
The National Fostering Agency successfully relocated into a purpose-designed workplace that reflects its values, strengthens collaboration and provides a modern, welcoming environment from which its teams can continue supporting foster carers, children and families throughout South London.
