City Tower voted best view in the North West

The City Tower in Manchester in the centre of Manchester has the best view in the region – according to an online vote.

The tower overlooks Piccadilly Gardens and is right in the heart of the city,

It won the vote which saw thousands of people across the country select their favourite images of stunning architecture and landscapes.

The building was up against Manchester House, the Refuge Building and Lakeside Hotel in the North West.

The third annual Window with a View competition was launched earlier this year by MyGlazing.com – the independent free consumer advice site.

City Tower will now go up against finalists from nine other regions across the country in a public vote for the title of the UK's Best Window with a View.

The winner of this year's award will take the crown from the reigning current Best Window with a View, London Bridge which took the title in 2017.

The national winner will be decided via an online vote at MyGlazing.com/WWAV. Voting will close at the end of the month. The national winner will be announced in October.

James Lee, Director of Marketing at MyGlazing.com, said: "We'd like to say a huge congratulations to City Tower for being voted North West's best Window with a View. It truly is a great feat given the standard of entries we received this year.

"It's going to be an exciting couple of months, seeing which regional winner secures the title of the UK's Best Window with a View. We wish City Tower the best of luck in the national vote and urge people in the North West to support them."

When the Window with a View competition launched earlier in 2018, hundreds of images were entered into the competition, ranging from coastlines and landscapes to city skylines and industrial scenes.

A judging panel of experts from the architecture, photography, property and interior industries selected the three best images for each area of the UK, taking the window, view and overall photograph into consideration for the scoring process.
