Housing association One Manchester has bought a 27,000 sq ft office building that neighbours its current premises on a key gateway into Manchester city centre.

The organisation, formed in 2015 through the merger of Eastlands Homes and City South Manchester Housing, has acquired Lovell House from Ropetune Ltd, a business established by the directors behind London-based Tannen Group.

Lovell House is located next to Turing House in Birley Fields and was originally occupied by Michelin Tyres.

One Manchester already occupies 25,000 sq ft at Turing House, while Lovell House is currently vacant apart from the top floor which is let to Melbourne Server Hosting.

Canning O'Neill acted on behalf of One Manchester and Edwards & Co represented Ropetune. Gjk consultants also advised.

Andrew Timms, director at Edwards & Co, which advised the vendor with Cushman & Wakefield, said: "We were pleased to have successfully closed this deal off market. One Manchester was the right buyer for the building and acted quickly and professionally throughout the transaction."
